I have no idea what your last reply is supposed to mean. But the reason headphone wire is super thin enameled wire or ribbon wrapped around fibers is a) for strength, as Mechatrommer said (those thin conductor wires would snap at the lightest tug), but also b) flexibility. It takes much less effort to bend a spiral than a wire itself, but critically, it also means the wire itself isn’t being bent at a sharp angle. This means the cable will last much longer in high-flex situations. (The downside is that the conductor strands end up being many times longer than if they were not wrapped.)
