Title: One output on Rigol DP832 not delivering
Post by: kentavv on August 13, 2016, 07:08:56 am
Hi. I have a Rigol DP832 three output power supply. One output connection, while set to 24V3A came loss momentarily and there was a zap at the connection (not inside the power supply. Now that particular output, when first enabled, very slowly climbs to the desired voltage, fluctuates +/- 1V or so, never goes higher than 12V, but if any load is placed on the output, there's nothing there. Could the current sense resistor had been blown? Something else? Any point in attempting to repair it or is it best to send it off for repairs?

Thank you

How old is it?

That is freakishly similar. Thank you for finding the video. I dug out the receipt and box and it's two years old. Looks like there is a three year warranty. Stinks, but the best solution may be to send it in.
