Hi everyone, I have two opgal thermal cameras, one is completely dead, and the other also failed, but last night, I was checking the caps and ic's in diode mode, and for some reason the camera started working.
One component T1210B GHDF G4, gets so hot, as in when measured with my multimeter, hit 100 degrees, but I found it whilst holding the pcb and burnt my finger.
When I was checking the caps for continuity, I had 4 caps beep at both ends and the other 100 or so caps only beeped at one end.
The company I purchased these cameras off, will not help at all now, as I have sent back 5 other's that did the same thing, and at $3000 each, I would have thought they would find the problem, and fix it.
I dont have much in the way of test equipment, just a multimeter, but looking to purchase an occiliscope etc and set up as best I can, now that I'm single 😉
Please throw questions at me, or possible answers, but I know I haven't given much info, as im not exactly sure, what you need to know. I do have many pictures of the pcb and most of them decent close ups.
The camera runs off an Android phone at 5v then gets reduced to the run the ic's
Any help would be appreciated, as for me, this was the biggest purchase I have made ($6000 for 2 of them) other that car and house.
