Title: Panasonic Air Con
Post by: iwack on September 21, 2019, 09:13:05 am
Hello,
I have come across a Split Air Con which in heating mode interrupts operation and stops working and in cooling mode the power surges up and down.

The self-diagnosis indicates a H98 error which the Service Manual describes as: "Indoor high pressure protection", "Air circulation short circuit".

Below are photos of the power board. Anybody know which components most likely needing replacement? I'm curious to see if I can find it.

Regards,

I could be wrong but it sounds more like a refrigeration hardware/sensor issue than a PCB issue.

I tried warming the power board with hot air blower a couple of times and the problem usually went away.

It looks to me that some of the soldering in the lower right hand side of the uppermost/top/first photo may have a joint or three with cracks,

which may explain why the 'problem' goes away when hit with a hot air blower = the cracks expand and close up slightly just enough to make contact

Might be worth a closer looksee :-//
