Panasonic DLP Connector identification (PT-DZ13K)
« on: August 28, 2023, 01:16:15 pm »
Hello All

Got a Panasonic PT-DZ13K projector with a damaged connector on one of its DLP modules

I have attached some photos of the connector the damaged one and the same type on the main controller PCB

Can anyone identify what the connector is?

Or if anyone has a service manual with that info that would be great also!

I cannot help with identifying the connector but have some advice if it must be removed and discarded.  As a first step, use a Dremel type tool with rotary cutting blade to cut throuugh all those tails between board and connector body.  Then use the same tool to cut through the metal body close to where each tab is soldered to the board.  Lift the bulk of the connector away and individually desolder the remains of each pin and tab.

i would only use hot air station only,

using rotary tool  may or could create mechanical stress ....

my 2 cents
