Part source MB90611A LQFP100
« on: January 03, 2020, 11:22:17 am »
I am repairing a unit that is used to test vending machine coin mechanisms. A faulty coin mechanism was plugged in blowing up the transistors which seems to be kind of common. I have repaired several before. This time the transistors held together burned tracks on the board and the main CPU on the daughterboard let out a heap of smoke but no trace damage on the daughterboard.

I repaired / removed the faults and the base board works with another CPU, but I need to replace the chip. I have tried 2 companies from google searching so far and both say they have stock until an order is placed then no stock. One seller on eBay lists for $120 each, which is out of the budget. AU$50 Max I’m willing to gamble on this.

** Must be square LQFP package not rectangular QFP. ** any help appreciated.

Hi. Does your device communicate via serial MDB? If so I make MDB simulators and testers that you could use to test coin mechs., validators, etc. Contact me at info@mdbtools if interested.

That's a mask ROM MCU... and with what looks like no ROM identification marking, you are likely out of luck.
