Title: Part to replace
Post by: sdancer75 on December 15, 2020, 06:04:09 pm
What is this part that seems burned? Resistor? It has about 280ohm of resistance but it doesn't look like resistor. Anyway I can confirm that pcb describes it as R2 which means that indeed it's a resistor. So it a special kind of resistor or just destroyed?

It could easily be a resistor, and even a good one.  Sometimes oddball parts look like that and have no markings.  While measuring its resistance, hold it in your hand while watching the meter to see if it's a thermistor.  Reverse the leads to see if it's a diode.

Why do you even care?  Replace it with a 270 Ohm resistor and see if the unit works.
