Philips PM3295 Scope
« on: March 28, 2021, 01:06:06 am »
I am restoring this Philips PM3295 scope and attempting to remove the front knobs. Can someone tell me how to get them off? Do they screw off or pull. No set screw. I was able to pull off one of the plastic knob and underneath was a knurled sleeve with notches across the top. I have tried using the slots  to screw it off with no luck.  Getting it off was very hard which seem to indicate a different way was required.
Advice would be appreciated.

I've seen knobs where the front was a separate moulding hiding a nut.

You need to remove the front cover from each knob to reveal either a screw, under the small knobs, or a nut under the larger ones.
If you don't already have it, download the service manual from electrotanya.com.

Sarah.
