Pioneer VSX-45 Amplifier Wifi Antenna Repair
« on: January 30, 2021, 10:21:37 pm »
I have a Pioneer VSX-45 amplifier - and while I'm not quite sure how it happened, one of the wifi antennas on the rear panel has snapped off while moving it.

The part number appears to be ADH7049, but I can't find a source online for it (in fact, I think I also tried a few years back without success). This isn't strictly an electronics repair, therefore - but is there anything to stop me adding a panel mounted BNC on there (possibly with some careful drilling) and adding a third party antenna?

hi,
of course, you can put any 2.4g antenna mecanically adapted
I also see some electrolyte capacitor in bizare position ...
