please help!! yamaha htr - 3066 receiver no sound

Hi all I am new here im really hoping someone can help, in short system was working fine but my brother tried to update the firmware via usb but it was for the wrong model and apparently it didn't finnish the update a button was pressed and the system turned off now I have no speaker channels. If any more info is needed please let me know thanks  guys

If it's anything like a phone, couldn't you just flash it again with the right model's firmware?  Unless it's bricked, then you're probably going to have to open it and look for a JTAG footprint.

But you probably will have to ask them for the firmware because it's not on their download site.

Thanks much appreciated id say you couldn't brick an amp and yes my thoughts are on the same path as you if I can get the original firmware im assuming that will pretty much restore to factory ill contact yamaha for the firmware and keep you posted.
