Please, help identify a connector (Laptop Battery)
« on: June 03, 2020, 05:24:07 pm »
Hi,

I am trying to repair an old laptop. Partly as an exercise, partly for sentimental reasons.
In the picture, you can see a bladde connector for the battery.
I found many similar connectors from TE Connectivity - but non of them is exactly the same.
This connector is vintage year 2009.
Check the logo printed on it. Do you know which company is that?

Thank you in advance!

Laptop batteries usually have custom connector.

Search for battery for your old laptop model in eBay. Then you will be able at least purchase a new battery or get connector itself from some junk yard. Connectors itself are very often proprietary ones made for particular laptop model line.

If you don't need a battery, use AC PSU from that laptop. Also laptop power connectors are particularly easy to find.

Hello,

thanks for the ideas - I would look for a junk laptop on eBay, hopefully will find something.
However, still out of curiosity, the logo on the connector should be some pretty famous company.
I remember I have seen that elewhere, just can't remember which is that compnay.

Thanks!
