Hello,

I try to repair a IQ modulator from a R&S SMIQ02. At a first look at the components, I can't identify some smd parts. Hope their is someone we came across these parts, and can help me out. I can read the markings on the parts: The first part seems to have the marking "RP11G N580-4" the second part is under a metal part, but reads "N4".

If a search on this "N4" part I only can find the 'NBB-400' and this is a MMIC amplifier DC to 8Ghz. Which I'm not sure if this is right. I can't find anything on the  "RP11G N580-4" part.

N4 refers to Sirenza/Stanford Microdevices NGA-486.

ah I see where I got it wrong: I read the first character as "R" not as a "F". Again thanks. Now I now the part numbers it's so much easier to find the right datasheets.

Make sure you trace the signal path through those RF switches (white squares marked "4227T") before replacing the active devices. I replaced the amplifiers only to find out that the real problem was a bad switch.
