Hello, I am repairing a RGB drive board from an LED lighting fixture, and would like some help identifying a chip. The device is marked AJF BAC and has 16 pins, it appears to be a buck converter. There are three identical channels driven by a MAX5715 4 channel DAC. The green channel is stuck on at medium intensity, and changes by one or two steps only. The back side of the board has three power mosfets, 3 high current diodes and three large inductors. I haven't had any success finding a part number for the device. Thank you for any assistance! |

That's a fancy LED driver. Three digit Axx is definitely Maxim topmark format, so I guess you can start there. There used to be topmark database on their old website before ADI merger, but it appears to be gone now. Update : I've done some more diagnostic work and swapped two of the buck converters (blue and green)- no change so the part is not faulty. Look like a control issue which need further investigation. |
