power supply Gossen 44T40R5
« on: January 16, 2024, 10:19:57 am »
I have a Gossen 44T40R5 built in 1973. Its 0-40V, 0-5A and still seems to work. There are 2 pcbs - regulator board A and may be a preregulator board B. I am searching for a schematic. There also had been a 44T20R10 with 0-20V 0-10A. Any available documentation like user manual, service manual, board layout, adjustment or repair hint for those devices would be helpful and is highly appreciated.

Years ago I also had a unit from that product range, the preregulator was kind of exotic, you could hear the current consumption of the load in the PFM/PDM.
Everything was done with transistors, no ICs afair.
Is it the same on yours?
Unfortunately no documentation, possibly I swapped capacitors, gave it away later as it loaded the bench too much.

from gossen    you wont get far, they are  very secretive for their service manual

you loose nothing to ask them .....  but to get high hopes    sorry

This is the next generation already, from the 80‘s

Yes, I know. But the next generation could just be a facelift and the circuit could be more or less unchanged.
Have to be checked..
