Power windows car controller IC, what IC?
« on: August 22, 2020, 12:15:02 pm »
Hey folks,

So I am working on this project and I found out that probably the controller is fried at least the IC because everything else is measuring fine and there's not much on the board at all :( I got central locking working but that's all.
Do any of you know what chip this is?? It is from a Toyota car.

Is there a datasheet or anything. I can't find it, probably not searching good enough. IC is from I guess 1996-1999.

It says "BC" on the otherside of the package.

The board sits in part number 3D-LH 74232-10040.

Could be a toyota design, chance youll find nothing ...   check for motor drivers ic's in a sip  package ....

Maybe do a hand made schematic and try to cross check on any google findings ??

You possibly have a better chance of finding a replacement board / module on ebay.
Best Regards, Chris

if you arent planning on making 100-1000 run of them just buy replacement module from a junkyard.
Who logs in to gdm? Not I, said the duck.
My fireplace is on fire, but in all the wrong places.

There is another SIP9 package but it's not related. It is simply done by a few transistors, the IC for the gate of the transistor to control it and relays for heavy 12v switching for actuators and motors.
The other IC is a D MH8520 6T05 SIP9 package.

Edit: no datasheet for this one either, or I need to e-mail the reseller and ask him for it.

I tried but I came up with nothing at all, it seems to be that specific year that they used those chips.

Figured that out indeed. But they aren't selling on ebay or any other market. I have found a few of them but they are pricey, ah whatever.

Unfortently they don't have it because it's a super rare vintage part now. I found one in another toyota car on the same junkyard, I believe toyota corolla. I cracked it open and it had a complete different PCB with SMD stuff no through hole ICs at all so that's been probably from a newer car with also different door control unit which means I have to gut out that complete wiring harness and begin all over again so my best bet it to get the wiring diagram of that car I got it out from & try to figure out what might goes wrong and buy a set of controls and modules from that year and make of the car to hold back for spare. There is not much in it, it's REALLY simple actually I the smoothbrain can even understand whats going on so I guess that's my best bet now. Central locking is working, maybe the test setup is wrongly put together maybe there is two 12v supplies one that stays on for CL and the other one is switches by the ignition key (power windows)? Probably..
