Powerland Battery Charger
« on: August 23, 2024, 03:55:25 am »
I am doing a teardown of a Powerland 48V Li Battery Charger.

The Charger contains a MC9S08PA4 which I assume is the charging controller.

I have traced connections from to battery connector back to Pins 7 & 9 of the MC9S08PA4.

Can anyone suggest the type of signals I should measure on these pins as I can only measure DC Voltages at the battery connector?

Its just a 8 bit cpu with the usual add-ons
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/MC9S08PA4.pdf

pin 7 & 9 are labeled as data ports so you could expect 3.3 / 5v & 0 v depending on what voltage  it is running on

it may be data from the BMS or it could just be simple logic levels .
