Problema em Osciloscópio FNIRSI 1013D
« on: August 08, 2021, 03:06:57 pm »

Agradeço a ajuda!

Hello everyone!

This week I received a FNIRSI 1013D oscilloscope that I bought on AliExpress. I started testing it today and I'm detecting a problem when selecting the "Probe mode 1X on channel 1" function, according to the video I have available at:

Can anyone help identify why I can't select the function referred to and if they know any way to solve the problem?

I appreciate the help!

Keep an eye on this thread:

User pcprogrammer is reverse engineering the code and has made decent progress.

If it's a firmware problem, then you could try to (re)flash it:
http://www.fnirsi.cn/support

Edit: Sorry, mixed the 1013D and 1014D.
Maybe you could try to contact Fnirsi and ask for advice?

FNIRSI support is extremely rude, toxic.
They consider everyone a threat to clone their products.
Firmware for the 1013D is not available.

I will make sure I avoid recommending their products, if that is their attitude towards support! Thanks for the heads-up!

Sometimes support is rude because customer comes with entirely unreasonable expectations, and then upon finding expectations won't be satisfied starts to be rude first.

I would never draw such a conclusion based on the report of a single person, even less if I do not know that person.

A couple of years ago I got a Fnirsi DSO PRO that didn't
come with a manual. I contacted them asking for a PDF or if
they could put it on their web-site. The reply was to contact
the seller. I seem to remember that wording of the reply was ok,
but this shows that they doesn't care much about the users of
their products.

A bit late but the problem I see in the video could be the touch panel. It looks very similar to what others and I experienced, where parts of the touch panel fail to respond to touch.

As user ledtester suggested take a look in the thread I wrote about the reverse engineering. It starts to get into the touch panel problem just before this post: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/fnirsi-1013d-100mhz-tablet-oscilloscope/msg3425900/#msg3425900 This is where it becomes more and more about the actual problem and leads to the reverse engineering.

Repairing it is possible with a new touch panel from Aliexpress and some skill. Be aware that the front glass panel can break, which you can read about in the other thread |O
