Protek 6510 Oscilloscope User and Service manuals (Attempt #2)
« on: February 13, 2023, 04:44:59 am »
Hi All,

Does anybody have a user and/or service manual for Protek 6510 Oscilloscope? Also known as Hung Chang 6510 - 100Mhz Oscilloscope.
It is a pretty nice old school analog scope. It had a fat trace fault that I've managed to fix. Would love to calibrate it now, because it is a bit off.
I've searched the Internet but I could only find user/service manuals for 6502/04/06 scopes but those are completely different inside. Both horizontal and vertical units have completely different layout. I also reached out to Protek via email. Surprisingly, they did come back to me but said that the scope is too old and they have no documentation for it.

Mouser used to be an Authorized Distributor. Perhaps they have a user manual?

I've just sent a support request to Mouser. Little hope but will see. I was thinking to call scope calibration companies and see if they could calibrate it? If they do, they must have a service manual. Any thoughts on this?

I've never had anything calibrated, so I have no idea.

BTW, I did try Protek's old web sites at the Wayback Machine, but they only have the same datasheet.
