Puritan Bennett Renaissance II

I have an old Puritan Bennett Renaissance II spirometer dating to 2003. The company has changed hands a few times and is owned by Medtronics. No luck with their support. The item was working recently, now I get an error code 113 resource corrupt after a long wait while the unit was recovering data. The plastic tabs that hold the screen in place were broken, other than that it is clean. Internal battery is still strong, rated at 3v, providing 3.1v. Nothing in manual about error code. Anyone have ideas? This unit, when working, sells for $300-$500 on e-bay. Our staff wants a newer one . Any ideas?
