Question on an AD549 Electrometer SCH

Recentely, I got a AD549 Electrometer PCB, maybe a pre-amplifier, after drawing the schematic, I cannot understand what is the purpose of the R49 1G oum resistor and how to us it. Any suggestion?  thanks.

gives a fixed bias current to offset the input current of the amplifier
Or circuit for internal calibration (IV conversion)
