Re-capping HAMEG 203-6
« on: August 08, 2020, 02:47:50 pm »
Hello,

I am re-capping a old 20MHz Hameg oscilloscope.
There is a 2.2uF capacitor in the time base circuit that determines the hold-off delay.
The cap on the board was 63V. I have at my disposal only 50V ones.
Lookinh at the circuit (attached below) I think that 50V should be OK and the cap is overspeced or they just used uniform parts to reduce cost.
I don't really see a reason for a 63V cap.

Please, let me know if I am wrong.
