Rebuilding a Feit LED Shop Light
« on: September 18, 2021, 08:04:39 am »
I got a Feit LED shop light, https://www.feit.com/product/4500-lumen-4000k-4ft-led-utility-light/, from a friend because they spilled water on it and let out the magic smoke...

I have been working through most of the components identifying them and testing them.  However there is a small IC on the board, which I believe to be the brains of the regulator on the board and am trying to figure out if I am able to get one of those.  It is clear that the chip is dead, one pin melted off.

It appears to have the text "9486T 98X0" written on it and it appears to be a SOT-23-6 package.

I haven't dug too deep into the schematic yet, but it appears to be a buck regulator in a current source configuration.

Any ideas on how I might be able to figure out what this IC is? And a suitable replacement for it?
