REL Q201E and Rotel RKB-8100 service manuals

Hi there,

Both my REL Q201E and Rotel RKB-8100 died in the terrible storms we had last month....not sure if this is a coincidence?
Any pointers in terms of the service manuals/schematics to either of them as searching the web has come up with nada results?

Hi there,

Finally managed to get onto the REL Q201E repair after a big move across the country and into NY.

It seems that the REL Q201E uses the IRF240/IRF9240 pair in push pull and there are in total 2 pairs of the IRF240/IRF9240.
Sure enough, a pair of these have failed dead short but the mains fuse is intact.......are the two pairs of the IRF240/IRF9240 paralleled or bridged for the subwoofer?
I was not able to get hold of a schematic but the 4 ballast resistors are all fine as well.

Any advice on what other things to check before installing the new IRF240/IRF9240 pair?

The REL Q201E sings again  .....what I had anticipated to be a difficult repair , turned out to be one of the easiest repairs ever.
One pair of the IRF240/IRF9240 were sho(r)t , but I did change both the pairs in the amp just to be safe.($6 a pair from Digikey)
The amp circuitry is quite simple and anyone with issues on the Q201E should be able to sort it out quite easily.

The driver is a beast and these REL's are worth repairing as I was really impressed by the LF oomph.
