Repair of SDS2104
« on: November 20, 2024, 09:16:28 pm »
Hi all, My Channel 1 went flatline on this SDS2104, all the others are ok(2-4).
I found this Cap to be open when removed and was hoping someone would know what the value is.
Many Thanks!

I would just pull one from another channel and measure it.

thanks for the reply, not so easy, I almost pulled the pad on this one and would hate to screw up another channel.

Tweezers are needed. Or simply add Rose alloy and blow hot air.

It will be that awful lead free solder so dilute it some with leaded solder.

Check what the cap connects to and if it's a power rail to the IC's it's likely local bulk storage or decoupling so a 10uF MLCC might be a substitute but pull another to check.

:)  It seems the problem was solved simply by pressing the default button! It wasn't the Cap at all.
