need replacement telescopic antenna

 I recently had a telescopic antenna shear off at the hinge. I've searched everywhere for months now. The full length is a metre. Anywhere near will do.
I cant find one with the base diameter. Any ideas welcome:

You need to cannibalize an old boom box.  My local electronics guy (of the old days) had a nice stock of those.  I may have one or two laying around, not sure of the the size.
