Repairing a Rocktron GAP v1 - Replacement fuse
« on: August 19, 2024, 09:24:45 pm »
Hi,

I have been working on an old Guitar preamp Rocktron GAP v1 (model of 1990 I think). These had issues with the Voltage regulators and caps blowing due to heat since they are next to the transformer.

I have replaced the regulators and caps and looks like the fuse is also blown. I need some help identifying the right resistible fuse to replace it  with (It's the first time I encounter such fuse).

As I understand this is a 500Ohm 1/2Watt fuse (the rating of the preamp is 22Watt which aligns with a 500Ohm resistor).

Can I have some help confirming it and get maybe some suggestions on replacement options? :)

Thank you in advance!  :)

It's a 500mA fuse, not a resistor. The rating (1/2 Amp) is written on the PCB.
