Repairing Anko AO8606 air fryer.
« on: March 17, 2022, 09:22:44 am »
Hi all,

We have an ANKO AO8606 air fryer that suddenly no power. I pulled it apart and probed the AC-IN, but wasn't getting voltage (or continuity from the plug to the PCB in the air fryer).
I dug further and found a thermal fuse in the middle. No continuity on the fuse (but continuity on the plug > fuse, and fuse > pcb. but no beep on the fuse itself.)

Now looking to buy a replacement fuse and heat-resistance sleeve to see if that fixes things.

Anyone know if this fuse will be ok?https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/184832449980?hash=item2b08df5dbc:g:zaYAAOSw7I9hK0S5

^ I can get 3x fuses (couple of spares) for $7, otherwise cheapest I've seen is  1x for $7.50 (Australian dollar)

Also, the heat resistant sleeve. Are these ok,

the thermal fuse in link should be ok as they do the 172 deg version you need

the sleeve is good to 200 deg so should also be ok

Thanks Fixit :)

I might order a couple of them then, so I have a spare just in case. I didn't check, but do these fuses go in a certain way, or can they  be installed in either way (like normal fuses) ?

There was another sleeve too that I link but link seems broken. Would the one from Jaycar be better?
