Hey there,
It was flashing color test patterns RED, GREEN, BLUE, WHITE, GREY, Color Bars intermittently. Sometimes it starts flashing on power up and sometimes after working normally for a few minutes then reverts back to working normally. Now, it mostly stuck at flashing test patterns continually (even if all video input (dvi, dp, hdmi) are left disconnected). It has a Samsung LTM270DL02 panel. I've attached a few pics showing the main logic board and what the test patterns look like. The main board has three connectors going into the neck: one to power/control the touch control controlling the on screen menus. one for powering the panel and backlights. and one for the lvds signals. If I unplug the lvds cable (at the connector marked as WHITE) when the monitor is working normally, then the panel would automatically cycles thru the various colr test patterns by itself. So that makes me think that's the default action for the panel's T-Con board when LVDS signals are missing? I've probed the LVDS traces (the WHITE connector) and it seems like all of the clock signals are missing. So either the FPGA is dead (cold solder maybe???) or somehow the mainboard is stuck in self diagnostic mode for some reason? I read thru the user manual and there's no mention of such self diagnostic mode. btw, the on-screen menus do not appear at all when it's flashing those test patterns.
Any ideas on how to proceed further?
