Hello
After a few days searching for info and learning about this, i got stuck trying to figure out without having acces to a boardview schematic, what is going on with my old pc that i stoped using while it was working like 7 years ago, and now suddently it doesnt work.
Im talking about a pc that have : MSI z97-g43, i5 4690k, the pc it looks to be starting without beeps from the motherboard, and when i take out ram it does beep. Also de cpu its heating, and im sure the gpu works, the only problem, i have more DDR3 rams around here, but i don´t know 100% if they work because i dont have any ddr3 motherboard to test them. So i already try all the typical things like, test with only 1 ram, or test the ram slots 1 by one and still having no video image or enter bios.. ( i could measure with a multimeter but i don´t exactly know where and what it should be a normal voltage etc.. )
Also i have a hd 5850 that when i plug in, and start the pc, it shows for 2 secconds a white line in the corner of the screen and then the screen shutdown. This may be repairable ?
And finally i got a gtx 960, that is seems to be working on the mother board but also doesnt show any image. This one i opened it and with a multimeter it seems to have the Capacitors in short. But i don´t know exactly what more to test with the multimeter to see if there is anytihng more than the capacitors.
Thx everyone for taking the time to see this post and answer !

GPU Vcore resistance generally is a fraction of an ohm. If there is no image from iGPU, you shouldn't bother with troubleshooting GPUs.

I don´t have a IGPU to test it. anything else i could do with what i have in my home ?
Thx for trying to help me

CMOS battery dead? If yes, replace it and reset BIOS settings.

How so? 4690k has it built in. Motherboard has video output connectors.

Oh you are right, i forgot that cpu has :D, im sorry haha too long time, i will test it right now, and yes, the battery must be dead, i try right now to replace it with my main pc and see if it starts, hope it is only that the problem
EDIT : I tell you the situation, i have the MotherBoard outside of the case, with only the powersupply and ram connected, i changed the battery and try the Integrated Graphics and i have still no image. Visually everything looks good, even there was very little dust on it, i tested a little bit without having a clear idea about what im testing and i see there are some voltages. If you need i can post a photo of the MB if that helps.

Hey, after trying and trying without knowing if I was doing it right, I decided to take a break. Then my brother asked me what I was doing, and suddenly he remembered that 5 years ago, he had to use my old PC and told me he had spilled some Coke on it, but it wasn’t much, and nothing happened so he tought that there is not so much trouble with that xD. So, I took a closer look at it with a strong light and, after cleaning everything, I saw that the Z97 is working again. So, GG.
Now, if someone could help me figure out how to repair the GTX 960 and, most importantly, the HD 5850, that would be great!
