This charger only provides 2 contact pins to the battery, so it's not very sophisticated, this is what the bottom of the PCB looks like: (please see attached image)
I had to replace a number of components, but I'm stuck, because the little 6-pin IC1 appears to also be dead, and I don't know what it is.
The SMD markings say: "Z10J2" and "573", with the Z appearing to be styled differently, it may be a logo.
Has anyone seen this component before and know what it is? My googling is failing me.
Note that pinout looks like this:
Pin 1: GND
Pin 2: feedback through optocoupler
Pin 3: resistor to ground
Pin 4: source of the SMF5N60 mosfet, which is connected to ground by R7..R10 low value resistors.
Pin 5: VCC (electrolytic capacitor is connected between Pin 5 and Pin 1, and Pin 5 is fed by R12 and R13(probably on startup, and then I think By D3 and R14) There's nothing to limit voltage on Pin 5 as far as I can tell, so I think the IC must have a zener diode in it.
Pin 6: goes to drive the gate of the mosfet through D2 and R11
i've attached a picture of the IC markings too.
Note that I had to replace these components: R7, R8, R9, R10, R5, and on the opposite side the 3.15A/250V fuse, and two of the bridge rectifier diodes died.
Any help would be greatly appretiated.
