Repairing TDS5000B acquisition board
« on: July 27, 2021, 07:43:28 am »
Hello my friends, i need some help!
Got an 5054b board, with  memory, and some different errors on ACQ SELFTEST, one of the CY7C1361B-133AC goes hot( +5-15' than other).
After desoldering memory errors still present.
I have a dynamic channel lines on a very slow timescales, but when it start  to use more mem (high resolution), the screen with channels lines halt.
Trying to search where to buy some memory chips.. in the datasheet it says that mine use "2 chip enable", but i only found Cypress CY7C1361C-133AXC with "3 chip enable" functionality. I not clear understand what it means, they are compatible from up to down?
Can i install one chip Cypress CY7C1361C-133AXC with others CY7C1361B-133AC?

And also the diag routine says, that it fails on trigger on HITL and Nibble procs. Maybe The trigger ic is also BAD too?
I'm trying to make it to triggered on low frequencies as 5 to 30Hz but it did't TRIG'D ((

CY7C1361B-133AC should be with 3 chip enables.

It should be exactly the same as CY7C1361C-133AXC , except CY7C1361C-133AXC is Pb-Free..

Check Pinout to be sure, but it should be it..

Did you try enabling the self test log on your scope? If so, can you post it?
