Scenario : 12v "Gen Power" automotive inverter (240v, 2000W) has pooped the bed. Won't run an AC load.
The main capacitor (marked CBB22 106J500V) is split with dried electrolyte everywhere. No schematic that I can find. Appears to be part of the final output and (in parallel to the output socket with other components).
So it seems I'm in the market for a 10uF cap to see if this thing will live to fight another day.
My Googling suggests the CCB22 are general purpose metallised polypropylene caps.
Am I able to use a MKP cap such as the following as a replacement?
