Replacement Light sensor
« on: May 01, 2016, 10:43:06 pm »
I have a light sensor I need to replace for a car lighting system. I can't get replacement from the manufacturer and I can't find any info on the sensor myself. It is a silver canister with the numbers "21K1383 9524" on it, It also has a glass top on it and there are 2 surface mount resistors in it with the values "225" and "222" on them. I can't take a picture of it because my cheap camera won't focus on it. If anyone knows where to look to find this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Make / model / year of car might be helpful if it came as part of the car when new. If it's an aftermarket add on, brand and model of the add on would go a long way.

For that, a junkyard would be your best option, or possibly ebay.  Old modules and sensors show up once in a while.

It's almost antique

Hi

.... let's see ... when't the next car show in Carlisle ... hmm ....

Your only chance is auto salvage. That part is well past "old enough to vote" and now headed into middle age.
