Replacing a FT-2400 Power Amplifier
« on: December 18, 2022, 04:41:39 am »
Hi there,

I am looking for a replacement amp for a broken ft-2400 2m radio that won't transmit. It looks like the RF in to the amp is good. Would the SC1091 be a suitable substitute for the S-AV24 that is in the ft-2400? They look pin compatible and the SC1091 seems to perform well in the 2M Band as well.

According to https://www.rfparts.com/sc1091.html the SC1091 can be a direct replacement for SAV24 if used in the 2m band only, so it looks like it should be just fine for that radio.
