Needed schematic diagram for Siemens B1033 Multimeter
« on: January 17, 2024, 09:11:04 am »
Dear friends! Does anyone have a schematic for the Siemens B1033 multimeter?
It broke, I'm sentimentally attached to it, and without a scheme I can't fix it.
Thank you in advance for your help!

This is really amazing... I spent a total of more than 30 hours searching for this scheme and it is nowhere to be found on the internet... My only hope is that someone has it in their personal archive and would be kind enough to share it with me. What do you think, is it worth sending an email directly to Siemens asking them to give me or sell me that scheme? The device is very old, and Siemens stopped producing measuring devices a long time ago...

If they stopped making them so long ago, chances are the whole devision is gone.

The old meters are not that complicated. So it should be able to reverse engenier the relevant part. Chances are the parts still have lables and I would not expect custom chips / resistor arrays.

Do you know whether Siemens made it or whether it is a rebranded product?
Not in this case, but a lot of Gossen products also were sold with a Siemens badge.

Searching the web, I found information that the Siemens B1033, B1032 and NORMA DA3232 multimeters are almost identical, rebranded or copies. That's the only thing I know... I found the user manual for NORMA DA3232, but it doesn't have a schematic diagram, unfortunately... Reverse engineering is my only option if I can't find the schematic, so I'll try that when I give up looking for SM .
-------
Kleinstein, oh yes, it's very complicated for me, it has more than 20 ICs and a bunch of other components (on several ICs the markings have been erased) a double-sided PCB, unreadable but I'll try...

Great find, I knew it was some rebranded stuff and was thinking of a Austrian company but couldn’t recall the name.
This German Webshop sells the manual including schematic:
http://www.rainer-foertig.de/unterlagen/Siemens%2001_2010.htm
I found that it was also sold as Grundig DM14, check out whether this is the same unit.
Hope this helps.
I started working at Siemens long time ago and have seen a lot of Siemens branded T/M equipment which turned out to be rebranded.
I even questioned myself if Siemens ever made any products in that market or maybe switched to rebranding some time in the past.

. . .That link is useless as it just gives an "internal server error!" when you click on "Bestellen/Order", irrespective of whether you view the site in English or German, so no hope of getting anything from them it seems!

It's an enigma that's what it is!! This thing's not fixed because it doesn't want to be fixed!!

That's right Chris56000, I was just going to write that, but you were faster... Even the email addresses from that site are unusable - they are not working.
Anyway, we continue to look for schematics for:
- SIEMENS B1033 (B1032)
- NORMA DA3232
- GRUNDIG DM14
(Same device, rebranded, same scheme!)

I would like to thank everyone who tried to help or are still trying to help!

Thanks for trying to help me! Unfortunately, the multimeter from that topic is completely different.
I will send a message to the member you recommended, maybe there is a way to help...

Yes, there are some similarities, but they are not the same... It's good that they have the same IC in the ADC, and that can be useful if I can't find the original schematic.

inse,
did you get a reply to the email?
The man confirmed that he has a scheme and that I can contact him on that email?

I had already noted this thread and came up empty-handed.
The situation with Foertig/Filbert is unfortunately not as easy as it seems: I made an enquiry last year for a manual listed by them and never received an answer. My need has been filled by someone posting it on Electrotanya, otherwise I would have considered going there during the advertised business times.

Unfortunately for me, there is still no reply to the email I sent to info(at)rainer-foertig.de...The search for the schematic is still on, although, I am slowly losing hope of finding it...it seems to me reverse engineering is the only option.

It's incredible for me that it's not possible to find the schematic for Siemens B1033 anywhere... My bad luck... If no one shares it with me in the next few days, the only thing left for me is to start reverse engineering... I really didn't expect this...  |O :-//
