RGB Fresnel Lights Not Dimming Evenly
« on: October 12, 2024, 03:07:08 pm »
We have some Chinese cheap RGB Fresnel lights. The problem I am experiencing with all of them is that the green channel turns on too early. It is like the dimmer is coming on too bright too soon.
They are PWM operated dimmers.

Any thoughts?

Maybe an incorrect resistor value on the green channel?

I will gut one apart at the first opportunity.
Will post back with more detail as soon as I can.

could be the answer.

How are you controlling them?if its  from  a dmx desk id double check the fixture profile is correct, you maybe able to adjust the dimmer curve for the green channel on the desk  as a bodge .Other thing take  look through the menus  ,if any,and double check the settings in the lantern .

We have tried it from our "good desk" and also and old school dmx desk thats doesnt have profiles. It does the same on both.

If slowly inch up the channels thre green turns on slightly before RBW and A do
