Rigol 1022u doesen't boot up [SOLVED]

Hello

Today I haveonstalled the new firmware

With the message "cal value has been saved, reboot"

After the reboot it boots up but the screen is black

What I have to do?

I need help..I don't know what to do, I have turned my function gen into a paper weight.

Seeing your firmware version indicates that you have not read the instruction manual to upgrade.
Press the view then power on to see the complete 18 digits Version number actually.

Have you tried to contact Rigol. I trust you downloaded the upgrade from their site.

Edit: I saw your the "other" post. Since the official source is in contact with you, you should seek from them.

My mistake, that's not you.

you have to update 2 files.

One is the bootloader.
then the other is the dsp file.

Which GEL have you upgraded?

If you have only upgraded the bootloader which you should, then all the light will lights up.

follow these steps [by IU8BBM]

You need to download the updates from the official source with your serial number *****************

0) Download all the required files, attached to this post
1) Turn off instrument
2) Disconnect the USB cable used for PC connection from the back USB B slave port
3) Pressing  repeatedly the HELP button, turn on the instrument
4) Boot will be stopped, the only MOD led button will turn on, stopping booting sequence
5) Insert USB Stick where previously you have been saved on the root the "DG10x2Update.GEL" file unzipped from "DG1022X(DSP)Update(Bootloader).rar"
6) Wait until all led will stop blinking (around a minute)
7) Turn off instrument
Repeat steps 3-5 with the GEL file from "DG1022X(DSP)Update(Normal).rar"
9) Wait until all led will stop blinking (around 3 minutes, will start blinking up to the ARB button)
10) Turn off instrument
11) Turn on instrument

If you have only upgraded the bootloader which you should, then all the light will lights up.

When I put the usb stick -mod,store,burst remain lights up and doesnt turn off

I contacted China Rigol and they are great people, Regional Manager and Engineers all robed in to resolve the problems. Hope it will help others here.

OK here is the repeatable problems and the solution;

Before Update, you can clearly see the old version number


During Update the Mod button, Store/Recall button, Burst button light up and no visual cue as to what is happening.


Reboot and Hanged. All the Buttons light up [except Ch1/Ch2 button]


Problem Solved. Firmware Updated Successfully.

You must only use "LESS THAN 4GB THUMBDRIVE"

I repeat: "LESS THAN 4GB THUMBDRIVE"

I use 2GB thumbdrive to solve the problem.

1) Immediately after power up press the "Help" button. The "Mod" Button lights up. [Do not plug in the thumbdrive]
2) Use the 2GB thumdrive with the 2nd GEL file in the root directory, plug into the front USB drive.
3) The Store/Recall button lights up, then after Sine, Ramp, Pulse, Noise, Arb, "INDIVIDUALLY" one by one blink blink blink and lights up.
4) Finall All the buttons light up.
5) Power off and reboot.

I cannot repeat your problem. At 25Mhz, 10Vpp Sine Wave is displayed on my Oscilloscope as perfect sine and 10Vpp.

Common mistake is, plug output to CH2, but adjust on CH1 parameter and vice versa.

Nope, it has something wrong, I have well terminated the scope and tge F.G but nithing, at max freq the amp is 2 time smaller conpared to the settings
