Hi
I needed 60v/3A for some troubleshooting & in order to get that,I made a series connection between Ch1 & 2.But due to a ongoing con call,by mistake,I inserted the negative probe to Ch3's positive. Then I shorted the output & instantly some bad smell came out from DP832.Ch3 was showing that "Ch3 is disabled due to overvoltage protection" sort of message.
After the incident,Ch1 & 2 supposed to be working fine.Voltage regulation for Ch3 is ok but it is unable to give 3A output whenever I am shorting the probes. The o/p current is varying instead of a steady 3A & the display is showing for "5v/3A at UR".The "UR" is changing to "CV" sometimes.
What can be the fault? Is the o/p driver transistor or the op amps gone bad? I live in a remote village in India & unable to get any help/service from Rigol here so I have to repair it all by myself so appreciating any kind of help.
I am attaching pics for the connection I made by mistake & the Ch3 output right now whenever shorting....
Also, wondering if anyone is having schematics for the PSU.That would be of great help.
Thanks in advance...
