Rigol DP832A repair 1channel after burn
« on: August 22, 2024, 11:52:37 am »
Hi, I am facing the same problem as many rigol power supply owners. I have a rigol dp832a, I managed to burn 1 channel on it by connecting it to ground.
1) The track between J23 and D6 was damaged (repaired).
2) D6 was damaged (replaced with a new one)
3) R52 was damaged (replaced with a new one)
4) F3 next to J12 was damaged (replaced with a new one)
5) Q16 IRFP250N was damaged (replaced with a new one)
6) U27 LM317 was replaced just in case.
After I assembled the power supply and turned on the first channel, on the display I see jumping numbers like Dave, but I don't understand where to dig. At the same time on the output zero. but if you start to set the voltage, the output appears the set voltage, but the numbers jump. And also LM317 is very warm as it seems to me. I also assumed that it is U55, but while the spare parts are on the way
