| CharlieD:
Hello everyone. I have a Rigol DS1102E wich I haven't use in a couple of months, I was working on a device and when measured the clock signal, te signal looks untriggered, so I put the probe in the compensation pin, the 1khz signal should look like stable and steady, but I looks untriggered.(See gif and pic below) If anyone can help with this, I have no idea how the trigger section of this or any scope works, so any help explaining this is welcome, and a hint where or what section of the PCB to look . Some other details: -The measurements works fine. -The knob varies the level and I put it between the signal in edge mode, but within ot not the signal there is no difference. If any other detail is important please post it and I answer it. Thanks. |
| BlownUpCapacitor:
You can try factory resetting the scope. That would eliminate the potential factor of incorrect settings. |

Try pushing the 'Auto' button. |
| Xena E:
Period jitter on the clock pulse that you're trying to look at? Try a lower frequency timebase setting and look for repetitive patterns. (When the scope grows up it wants to be an HP 😁) X |
