Hi All,

I recently fixed a R&S SME03 (the output attenuator needed a little TLC, cleaning and physical alignment). The service manual states that once the output attenuator is opened you need to reset the offsets using the software, and I assume physical pieces, in the SM-Z2 service kit.

Unfortunately it seems that no one has that kit - I even called R&S directly and they checked with their warehouses in Asia and Germany (they showed it existing in their system) and discovered that they really didn't have stock. They do have the ability to calibrate the unit in their labs but that cost is US$1165 (which is about 3 times what I paid for the SME03).

So I thought I'd ask here if anyone has the kit they'd be willing to rent out or at least the calibration software they could share.

Hopefully someone has this.

Thanks,

TonyG

I'm also curious if anyone has this service kit? (service manuals lists a program TEST_SMP.EXE) to run a deeper diagnostic on R&S signal generators.
