Case 87638864 instrument cluster
« on: February 07, 2024, 04:17:27 pm »
I need some help.. I have 2 components I can't identify, first is the SOT457? Q5 (transistor?) With markings 9V 7.8... I also have a LCD module, it's 28p and it has just 8 thick bars in the display.. I tried to read the code etched on the end of the glass and the best possible match is M4183 N32002, although the last set of numbers is very tricky to read.. this is out of a skid steer made by Case, it's sealed, was sealed, which broke the LCD but other than that it's fairly dead, just 2 lights come on, nothing elsewhere... Oh, I do also have a 8p device which is etched MXRE L0DA, no idea what that's doing.. any help would be very much appreciated.. most would see it's sealed and suggest just replacing it but I like a challenge.. might have bitten off more than I can chew..

Fantastic, thanks for reply.. made some progress, no clock, crystal?, hence dead uP.. no luck with the LCD mind, been searching on/off all day.. might be a custom part?.. think my solution, replace it with a LED bar graph (guts out of a eBay fuel level Meter)
