Okay, I realize the power supply probably isn't worth fixing, but I like to try things because of the challenge.
In the primary of the first switching transformer there is a 82uf 470V 105c cap that is basically open. The consequence being the a larger axial thru-hole diode that appears to feed voltage to the transformer is shorted.
The only nomenclature on the diode is "S3V00". Maybe that is a TVS3V00? Either way, my googling skills are not good enough to find any data on the diode.
Does anyone here know what that diode is? Guessing, I would say maybe 3 watts.
My googling skills are not good enough to locate a schematic for the power supply either.
I think, for expediency, I will replace the power supply, but I would still love to fix it.
