Salvaging a partially broken Kindle Paper

Friendly greetings !

I have a broken Kindle Paper, everything works except the tactile part of the screen.
Therefore, it's unuseable.

The e-ink screen is working.
i can provide photography of the inner part if needed.

Any tought on the repairability of the tactile part ?
Any tought on the salvagability of the e-ink screen ? (eg : to use with an fpga)
