Samsung Monitor MOSFET identification/equivalent
« on: June 23, 2024, 02:28:21 am »
Hi
I have a Samsung 32" CT550 LCD in which the backlight has started to fail. There are 4 LED strips each controlled by a SOT23 2N7002K Mosfet. 2 LED strips were failing, but as a precaution I replaced all 4 Mosfets.
Monitor then ran correctly for around 2 minutes  then something smelt hot and monitor died totally, no power, shorted input.

Short was traced to a TO252 Mosfet PY8N10GR.

I cannot find this exact part online apart from a listing on the TaoBao website, but they list no information for this part.

The markings would indicate it is a N Channel, 100V, 8A?, probably a higher wattage one as the PCB shows that this has been getting rather warm.

Any idea's for a suitable replacement?

Thanks

This is all I found:

I'm not confident, though.
