Samsung TV bypass side COF?
« on: October 01, 2019, 12:11:36 pm »
Hey There,
I got a samsung 55 inch led TV pretty cheap. It has some horizontal lines in it. I took it apart and found a blown side COF.
Is there a possibility to bypass this COF?
For example use the COF on the other side to do the work also for the burned COF?
Is this possible?
Greetings

Nope. Sadly, at this point the whole LCD panel is scrap. The only way this could be repaired is if you happened to have the exact replacement COF and even then you would need specialized equipment to properly bond the new COF to the LCD panel.

Unfortunately, the TV would be considered "beyond economical repair" at this point.
