Seek Thermal camera compact xr and pro

Hi everybody , i am new to this channel and i normally repair computers and laptops so i know basics in electronics and have some test equipment in the last 20 months ive bought 3 seek thermal cameras i have 2 compact xr one ios and one android and i also have a compact pro android and in this time all the 3 units have died .
All 3 cameras are dead and not recognised by my phones so i have tested them in friends phones and ipads and nothing. I have talked to a few people and they have said i should of bought Flir but at the time i had them for good prices and they worked well for the time i

I bought the 2 compact xr the same time one for my phone and one for my dads phone and within a month of each other they both died so i bought the compact pro and 11 months later this has died .
I would appreciate any kind of help I've checked the ribbon cables on all 3 units and they have continuity as i was told the ribbons break easily on these cameras   all the camera lens cover operate with magnetism i.e. a piece of metal waved by the coil.
Please help as i cant afford to buy another i need to get one working ive emailed seek with no answer .

I use my Seek Compact Pro with an Android LG pad. It rarely connects on the 1st try. I leave the app open and unplug and replug the camera, repeatedly. Sometimes it takes numerous tries before it connects. I find it connects more quickly when the pad battery is charged to 100%. My software version is 2.1.7.1.
