Anyone know what component this is?
« on: July 15, 2020, 12:31:11 pm »
Hi Guys

I have a question about a component on this 1970's seiko digital watch seiko quartz AO31-5000 circuit.

I am wondering if anyone is familiar with the white ceramic component next to the crystal on the right of the screen.

Is it a capacitor?

There is no continuity when I test it. It's like i'm testing a rubber tire    :-//

Much appreciated.

It a capacitor probably 8 or 10 pf   (may also be a custom value pf depending on the rest of the circuit)

BTW don't use WD40 or any other cleaner on this or you will kill it
