I have two (little XT series, not big XHR series) supplies from this schizophrenic manufacturer, one is a "Xantrex", one "Anatek". I contacting Xantrex, Anatek, and Sorenson, but had no luck in getting the service manual with schematic. Their answer was always that the schematics are proprietary and they don't publish them. Finally I bought an old paper copy of the XT manual on ebay that had nice big 11x17 fold-out schematics. So I guess they did publish them at some point, just not any longer.  My only suggestion is to try to find a paper copy to buy.

They go by all these names:

Xantrex
Sorensen
Ametek
Elgar

There are quite a variety of models and series too. I haven't heard too much about them as far as how their quality, reliability, etc. compare to the usual suspects in the power supply space.

Which is the OEM, is it stated on the PCB's?
This might help us track down schematics and/or service documentation.

I've got a 1200 watt Sorensen PS - love mine. It's been going strong for years. I'm not sure which is the legit OEM on these though - it may vary per series.

Don't forget Anatek ... that wasn't a typo in my earlier post.

If the OP is willing to spend a little money as I did, then this ebay listing may be of help. (no affiliation).

I have an Anatek power supply and I've seen them in a couple of companies.  Mine says "Made in Canada by Anatek Electronics"

I guess not many of the Anatek-branded versions made it over here unlike the other names.

You've probably seen one or two.  This auction is for an Anatek power supply that's being sold under the Xantrex brand.

The look is very distinctive.  The one I'm familiar with was a 50V@1A dual unit.

Yes, I have seen some of those, just not by the Anatek brand. Any info on why there were so many different names? Were they rebrands by other companies, one company changing their branding often, or a series of acquisitions/mergers that forced a rebranding?

I've seen one supply that said it was a Sorensen, owned by Elgar or something to that effect.

I don't know what the corporate relationships are.  It would be interesting to look at an "Anatek style" Xantrex power supply to see if it says where it was made.
