Slug Bird 43 (100A) Help
« on: February 26, 2019, 11:21:23 am »
Good morning,
I received a Slug Bird 43 (100A) as a gift.
Unfortunately it does not work perfectly.
The Watt AWG reading is perfect, but the Watt PeP reading has gone crazy.
I checked the few internal components, Trimmer is OK, Diode is OK, I think the problem is in the fixed value resistance but I do not know its exact value.
Thank you.

Matey,
Sorry but the Bird 43 is designed only for average power ONLY , so you should not be using the 100A slug to make PEP readings on a Bird 43.  :-//
The meter needle will jump around with the carrier peaks if you use it this way......you need a peak reading kit for PEP or the 43P with the relevant slugs.

Yes, the PeP Reading Kit is installed and works with all other Slugs.
only with this Slug the reading is very different.
I have read the PeP USB watt of a RTX under test.
all the other slugs indicate the exact measure (50 Watts PeP) while this slug even shows 100 Watts PeP.
